ABOUT

Salma Al Atassi

I am a Syrian psychotherapy trainee at the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy, a rigorous six-year psychodynamic program. Under clinical supervision, I work with adults in medium- to long-term therapy — the kind of work that takes time because it goes beyond the surface.

I create a space where honest reflection is possible — where your inner world and the social world around you can both be named, and where the ways they shape each other can be explored. I believe that expanding a person's capacity to reflect on their experience is itself a form of freedom.

My work is grounded in an intersectional, trans-inclusive, feminist, anti-colonial, and anti-racist framework. These are not addenda to my practice. They are the lens through which I understand suffering and the conditions that produce it.
