APPROACH
How I work
Psychodynamic psychotherapy is based on the understanding that our present difficulties are shaped by experiences we may not fully remember or recognize — patterns laid down early, carried forward in ways that protect us and constrain us at the same time.
In our work together, we slow down. We pay attention to what arises between us in the room, to what gets repeated, avoided, or felt without being said. This isn't about fixing symptoms quickly. It's about coming to know yourself — including the parts that are hard to look at — so that something genuinely shifts.
The inner world
We explore feelings, memories, dreams, and patterns of relating — not to diagnose them but to understand what they carry and what they protect.
The social world
Suffering doesn't happen in a vacuum. Race, gender, class, migration, and systems of power shape what we feel and how safe it is to feel it.
The relationship
The therapeutic relationship itself becomes a place where old patterns surface and new possibilities emerge. What happens between us matters.
